About Us
A Landmark That Has Watched the Town Grow
Built in 1884 for the Royal Bank of Scotland, this landmark building stands proudly within Campbeltown's conservation area at the junction of Castlehill and Lorne Street—a lasting symbol of the town's Victorian confidence.
Designed by the acclaimed Peddie & Kinnear, whose work shaped some of Scotland's most distinguished streets and buildings, the property features traditional corbelling and distinctive crow-stepped gables—hallmarks of Scottish Baronial architecture.
Today, this landmark begins a new chapter. Carefully restored and thoughtfully reimagined, ready to welcome a new generation of guests with a chance to stay somewhere woven into the fabric of Campbeltown's story.

Property information, local recommendations, visitor guides and guest communications are all delivered digitally, reducing the need for printed welcome packs, directories and paperwork while ensuring information remains accurate and always up to date. This approach not only reduces waste but also gives guests immediate access to everything they need, wherever they are, from their own device.
By combining smart technology with thoughtful hospitality, we offer greater convenience while reducing our environmental footprint.
But our commitment doesn't stop there.....
LOOKING FORWARD.....
Our commitment to sustainability doesn't end with the completion of the restoration. Castlehill Aparthotel has been designed with the future in mind, and we continue to explore new technologies and initiatives that will further reduce our environmental impact while enhancing the guest
experience.
Over the coming years, we plan to invest in additional energy-efficient technologies, helping to reduce carbon emissions, improve operational efficiency and make even greater use of renewable
We're equally passionate about supporting active tourism, recognising the important role it plays in Campbeltown's growing visitor economy. Subject to future development, our plans include facilities designed to better support golfers, cyclists, walkers and other outdoor enthusiasts, making Castlehill an ideal base from which to explore the Kintyre peninsula.
By continually investing in both sustainability and the guest experience, our ambition is to ensure that Castlehill Aparthotel remains a responsible, comfortable and future-focused destination for many years to come.
