Wild Coastlines & Island Escapes
From expansive Atlantic beaches and tidal crossings to dramatic coastal paths, Kintyre remains one of Scotland's most beautiful and least-discovered coastal playgrounds.
The Kintyre 66 (K66)
Explore the peninsula at your own pace along this stunning
66-mile scenic driving route. The loop guides you seamlessly along coastal roads, past white sand beaches, ancient heritage ruins, hidden wildlife viewing spots, and exceptional viewpoints. It is ideal for cars, road cycling, and motorcycles alike.
Discover Davaar Island
Connected to the mainland just on the edge of Campbeltown by a natural tidal gravel causeway, Davaar Island is an unforgettable day trip. Walk across at low tide to explore a historic lighthouse, rugged cliffs, and the famous Crucifixion Cave painting hidden within a sea cave.

The Kintyre Way
Stretching from Tarbert in the north to Machrihanish in the south, the route takes walkers through forests, open countryside, rugged coastline and remote beaches, with sweeping views across to the islands of Arran, Islay, Jura and Gigha.

Pristine Coastal Beaches
Campbeltown is also host to world-renowned independent bottlers, giving enthusiasts access to rare, exclusive, and un-chill-filtered expressions from across Scotland.

Dunaverty Bay (20 mins away)
A beautiful southern beach marked by its distinct historic rock fortress and sweeping views towards Sanda Island.

Saddell Bay (30 mins away)
A peaceful, picturesque eastern beach combining raw natural beauty with local history (famed as the setting for the Paul McCartney video, Mull of Kintyre).
